The author began writing on the contemporary issues since he took retirement from the United Nations. It was an irony that the issues affecting the regions included the countries where the author had served for several years. Russian President made it no secret that any of its neighbor ever dared to enter into alliance unfriendly to Moscow would meet the same fate as that of Kiev. Israeli Prime Minister dismissed the “two states formula” implying that the Palestinians will have the only option to live under occupation.
