ইমাম ইবনু তাইমিয়া (রহ.) রচিত বই ‘Friends of Allah & the Friends of Shaytan’। প্রকাশক দারুস সালাম।
There are people who like to bash Ibn Taymiyyah simply because he's Ibn Taymiyyah. Having perused through a variety of his works, I prefer to criticize him for what he is: a simpleton. Now, before people get on my case for being a Taymiyyah-basher, let me make it clear that I give credit to people where it is due. 1. While Ibn Taymiyyah is often accused of ascribing anthropomorphism to God, if one reads his work, this is clearly untrue. 2. You have to give him credit for being one of the few major Sunni theologians to not behave as a mouthpiece for the political authorities of his time. He wrote what he believed (respectable). In fact, he was jailed for his political stances. 3. The man had a large memory (though, this should not be mistaken as a sign of intelligence).
One need only turn to Ibn Taymiyyah's section on Ibn Arabi in this book to see what a simpleton (and something of a mischievous, or possibly uninformed one at) he is. We find him quoting works of Ibn Arabi, and then breaking down Ibn Arabi's metaphorical language in a very literal manner to criticize him.
